When Hammy Bissell '29 used to encounter an alumnus or alumna who'd returned to campus, the first words he usually spoke were, "Welcome home." That sentiment is still very much alive at Exeter, especially during reunion season. This year, 1,450 alumni/ae, spouses, guests and children returned to the Academy to reminisce and celebrate. Whether five years or 50 years out, each participant brought his or her own special memories and energy to the festivities. As the Academy prepares to welcome classes ending in three and eight to campus in 2003, we bid a fond farewell to this season's reunion-goers. We hope we don't have to wait five more years to welcome you home.
